Noufal Abboud is the Morocco Country Director of the international non-profit organization Search for Common Ground (SFCG), the world’s largest dedicated peacebuilding organization. A native of Morocco as well as a Swedish national, his over a decade of work experience and academic training have focused on conflict transformation and peacebuilding processes in Morocco and the Maghreb-Sahel region. He leads SFCG’s initiatives on conflict transformation and mediation in communities and inside prisons, youth civic engagement, women's socio-economic empowerment, and transforming violent extremism. He also supervised the work of SFCG in Mauritania on supporting CSOs in the country to better serve vulnerable populations and groups.
He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in international law from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London, and an International Master of Arts (MA) in Human Rights from Mahidol University in Thailand.
